Responsive Grants

Responsive Grants provide emergency funding to animal welfare agencies, typically in times of disaster, such as a fire or other events driving additional animal welfare needs in Colorado.

AAF Responsive Grants

Eligible organizations may submit requests for support during a period of urgent need. Funding may be used to address operational challenges and organizational responses.

Timeline:

Our emergency grants are available on an ongoing basis, allowing you to apply at any time.

Who is eligible?

  • Designated 501 (c)(3) non-profit, fiscal sponsor or government entity
  • Must meet AAF’s standard eligibility guidelines
  • Organizations who experienced direct impact from an emergency situation/event (e.g. damage to facility, evacuation, etc.), and/or credentialed organizations participating in disaster response
  • Must be located in Colorado and primarily serving Colorado animals
  • Organizations with a strong community presence that offer substantial services to their local community
